Go camp questions

You got questions we have answers.  You can always contact us to find out more about our program.

  • What about Transportation

We highly encourage parents and guardians to pick up and drop off their kids at camp each day, we want to get to know you too!  However, if transportation is an issue, pick up and drop off can be arranged on the GO Camp Bus.  We strive to remove all obstacles so that our programs are available to everyone.

  • Is it safe?

Safety is the number one priority at camp.  All of our staff and volunteers are trained and certified through our partner program Ministry Safe. We strive to make camp a safe and sacred place where kids can be kids and learn about God in a positive environment.

  • What does a typical day of camp look like?

Everyday begins with worship and discussion about real life issues and how God's love prevails no matter what.  During the day we like to challenge our kids with activities that will stretch their comfort zone, strengthen their character, and educate them about the natural world.  Whether it be zip lining through the trinity forest, hiking in the state park, visiting a natural history museum, or sailing aboard a real life pirate ship, we strive to give our campers the experience of a lifetime and show them the face of God in nature.  Then in the afternoon the day ends just the way it began with worship and discussion about the day's experiences.

  • How much does it cost?

Every camper that we send to camp is sponsored by a church or individual in North Texas.  Parents can send their kids to camp for $5 a day thanks to our camper sponsors.  If you want to sponsor a camper this summer email: Katie Pryor at katie@ntcumc.org for more information
